International Images and Improvisation
Interesting implementations of improvisation instruction will be introduced, as well as varied music and movement activities from Peru, India, and more! Amy Beegle is Associate Professor of Music Education at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. She has taught general music in public and private elementary and middle schools in Los Alamos, Chicago, and Seattle and has worked with college interns to provide weekly music classes for children of substance-abusing parents in Cincinnati. She has taught and directed Orff Schulwerk teacher education courses in Oregon and Ohio and has presented locally, nationally, and internationally on topics including children’s musical creativity, pedagogy of world music traditions, American music education during wartime, and Orff history and philosophy. |
