Join us as we explore ways to spark student creativity through music, movement, and storytelling! Orff Tunes and Tales incorporates new and classic children's literature with songs, games, dramatization, and of course, PROPS!
Presenter Bio:

Betsy Carter is an Orff Music specialist at Snowden School in Memphis, TN, where she teaches grades PK-5. She is an AOSA Orff Pedagogy Teacher Educator and has taught levels at Anderson University, Lee University, University of Arkansas, and University of Memphis. Betsy has presented workshops at the 2022 and 2024 AOSA National Conferences. She is a 2023 CMA Foundation Music Teacher of Excellence. She has served as an Orff Mentor teacher and curriculum writer for Memphis Shelby County Schools for 12 years. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Betsy completed her Orff Levels at the University of Memphis and masterclasses at Trinity University and Anderson University. Betsy is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Music and has written several articles for the Orff Echo.
